
Rev. Sam Kim

Rev. Sam Kim serves as the Transitional Associate Presbyter for the San Francisco Presbytery, where he provides leadership support and resources across more than 80 churches. He is a certified IDI (Intercultural Development Inventory) Qualified Administrator and coaches individuals, teams, and faith communities toward deeper intercultural competency.
Rev. Kim holds an MDiv and MAPT (Pastoral Care) from Columbia Theological Seminary, where he also served as Transnational Ministry Coordinator. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Leadership, Equity, and Inquiry (LEI) at Illinois State University, with a dissertation focus on DEI in religious institutions.
Before his current role, Rev. Kim served as pastor of Atlanta Taiwanese Presbyterian Church and as an Organizing Pastor with Atlanta OIKOS (2015–2025). He also serves as a coach with 1001 New Worshiping Communities (PCUSA).
Beyond ministry, Rev. Kim is an avid home baker and cook — you'll often find him experimenting in the kitchen, which is where KIMBOP LAB gets its spirit: a place to mix ingredients, try new recipes, and nourish community.
